Meet The Crew

Hi I'm Laura, founder of Round of Appaws! My start working with canines trails back to 2017. While studying in college to become a marine mammal trainer, I took on a part time job at a daycare/boarding facility in Long Beach. I realized pretty quickly that land animals were pretty Paw-some too! While working in the daycare I began to become fascinated with the behavior of the dogs in the social rooms and also wanting to learn ways to work with those who struggled in the environment. I saw the demand from pet parents who wanted behavioral help with their pups. Deciding to change avenues and pursue a career in dog training, I went on to become certified through programs such as Karen Pryor Academy and Animal Behavior College. Through my studies, I have been able to get an understanding of the most effective science-based training approaches in dog training. In recent years, I have had the privilege to work alongside other balanced trainers learning dog psychology techniques, which when applied to reactive cases have proved to be monumental in the growth and progress of behavior modification. One of my biggest accomplishments so far has been working as a trainer on the television series "The Pack" by Amazon Prime. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!
